You’d be reasonable to question why Eric Wareheim has the right to publish a cookbook. Instead, she gives us a big, twisting, beautiful story of her life, and an enormously impressive variety of recipes that cement exactly how deserving she was of winning that title. Lomas could have made the central theme of her first cookbook her title as a television-show winner. There are also plenty of doughnuts and other fried treats.
